sprang into being as a |

of all the hours I spend |
| in
museums. I'm minutes away |
| from
institutions devoted to |
| natural
history, Asian art, |
| African
and Oceanic sculpture, |
| ethnic
textiles, historic costumes |
| and
contemporary crafts. |
| As
I worked on these pieces, |
| I
waited for them to tell me who |
| they
were. They may give you |
| a
completely different answer, |
| and
that would please me too. |
| Whoever
they are, these |
| women
definitely know how |
| to
accessorize. |
| In
keeping with the museum |
| context,
I've mounted them in |
| black
shadow boxes that look |
| like
specimen cases. |
